The Russian Split - Doubles
The Russian Split The Base partner will climb up the pole and go into a dragonfly variation by inverting into an outside leg hang and wrapping the other leg around the pole, crossing it over the thigh of their outside leg hook. The Flying partner will turn away from the pole, standing with their palms facing the pole. They will then extend their arms behind them, keeping the palms in the same position so that they can grab their partner’s wrists. Once both partner’s have a strong grip, the flying partner will place one leg onto the pole, extending it while simultaneously pulling their hips away from the pole, entering a piked position. The Flyer should make sure to engage the shoulders and pull towards the base of the pole with the arms, push into the pole with the foot that is stepping. They can then extend the back leg into a split. To come out, the flyer has to thread the back leg through the hands and step down towards the ground.

Floor-Based Handspring on Split
Floor-Based Handspring on Split The base partner will stand next to the pole, while the flyer kneels in front. The flyer will place their hand, with the pointer finger facing down, onto the shin of their flyer’s outside leg, right above the ankle. The flyer should be facing towards the pole at this point, not away. The base will begin to lift their inner leg up, into a split while allowing their flyer to hook their forearm into their hip, grabbing around their thigh. Once the flyer has hooked their arm, the base will continue to extend their leg and secure it into a split by using their outer arm to grab the pole in a cup grip below their heel. The flyer then turns their body to the ceiling and kicks up into their handspring position. To exit the position, the flying partner can land to the side on their feet, while the base partner slowly brings their leg down.

The other partner will climb up the side of the pole until they can reach their outer arm fully around both of their partner’s legs and grab the pole. They will then release their legs from the pole, allowing their body weight to press their layback partner’s legs downwards. The layback partner will press their hips up and arch back, releasing their hands from the pole. To exit the trick, the layback partner will regrab the pole and the other partner will come back into their climbing position.

The flyer will pike their hips up and roll over their base’s arms, while simultaneously lifting their upper body towards the ceiling. Once the flying position is stable, the base partner will bring the leg that is on the opposite side of their flyer’s head, across their body and hook the pole as if performing a cupid. The base partner will then release both of their hands from under their flyer so that the flyer will drop into a cradled position over the base’s outer thigh. No-Handed Layback Spin
Step 1 The base partner will go into a pole sit with their legs extended. The flying partner will grab the legs of their base partner and pull down slightly. Step 2 They then run to get momentum and release their legs from the floor and bring them in any position they want. The top partner, if they feel comfortable and enough weight on their legs, can release their arms from the pole and lay back. Step 3 It is very important that the flying partner does not release the legs from the upper partner unless the grab completely back up onto the pole again.

The Eye or The Circle
The upper partner in the eye, will go into a straight leg pole sit. The bottom partner will go into a superman in their preferred method, right below the legs of the upper partner. The superman partner will grab the legs from the layback partner. And only when the layback partner feel safe, and the weight from the superman , can they release the hands and grab for the superman partners legs. They then look back and extend each others arms. Its really important on the way up, that the superman partners keeps pressure on the legs from the layback partner and wait till until they grab the pole, before they come out of their superman.

The second person will wait till their partner is facing away from them, before they grab above their partners knee, to invert into their inside leg hang. And now they are in their interlocking inside leg hang position. They can also grab each others legs and pull it down, to make it look even nicer. One way to exit the position, is having the partners bring their hands to the floor in a handstand position. And then they get out from their inside leg hang, and handstand down from the pole.
